UniLink™
A proprietary Sony component control system. UniLink operates on a bi-directional serial bus and allows a variety of components to communicate. Most commonly used to allow a head unit to control a CD changer, UniLink has expanded into a variety of components and features, vastly increasing the flexibility and operational parameters of Sony car audio systems. Up to 7 UniLink components can be wired into the same system, and add functionality through realizing auxiliary input, XM satellite radio tuner, remote system controllers, and other components. Increased functionality is also achieved through various feature sets, like Disc Memo, Memo List, and integrated system control.
